The OTS data center uses fail-over and redundant environmental units to control and monitor the temperature and humidity in the facility. Two Leibert and three Edpac units provide 110 tons of cooling capacity. These units are run on alternating shifts so that there are always units ready as hot back-ups. Two roof top chiller units are configured for fail-over to insure high availability. These units are linked back to the OTS Network Operations Center so that any changes in status, such as a failure in a heating or cooling unit or humidity or power are immediately detected.
